The Retailer Meetups at CE Week: Building Relationships to Help Better Market and Sell Consumer Technology

PHILADELPHIA, August 11, 2017 — Dealerscope’s mid-year celebration of all things tech occurred this past July in New York City, showcasing the latest products and services from some of the biggest names in the industry. The Retailer Meetups, another Dealerscope-hosted event, stood out as a positive new addition to CE Week this year.

Dealerscope created the Meetups to enable leaders from across the consumer electronics spectrum to connect, exchange ideas, and build relationships. The event took place at the Dream Downtown Hotel in NYC, and featured pre-scheduled, one-on-one sessions between top-tier retailers, distributors, buying groups and vendors.

The Meetups were geared towards vendors looking to meet with key decision-makers involved in buying strategies at leading retailers, distributors, and buying groups, and retailers seeking to deepen industry relationships and knowledge about new products and technologies.

According to attendee Tom Campbell, Chief Technologist-Corp Director of Video & Audio Center, it was an “incredible opportunity to see new products and forge new relationships with vendors, distributors and retailers. This is a must attend event.”

Eric Schwartz, managing director for Dealerscope, characterized the Meetups as an “information-packed experience that was designed to afford everyone involved the opportunity to grow consumer technology industry relationships, or to forge new ones that didn’t exist before. For the VIP guests, it’s a chance to learn about new products they may not have known about before. It’s a win-win, all around. This is a unique-to-our-industry event. It’s where everyone can learn, network and enjoy the experience, in the interest of closer cooperation within our business.”

Overall, the event allowed all parties involved to secure the undivided attention of industry professionals from a variety of companies and provided valuable, guaranteed meetings to build strategic, long-term partnerships.
